The closing on the house went very well. Only took about an hour and a half. I got to sign lots of paper work and then we got our keys. We excitedly drove to our new house and pried open the front door. The lock was a little tricky and it tooks some work on Joe's part to get it open. We documented this process in pictures which I will post later. I wanted to give you a before look at our new place first though. These picture are from the orginal listing.
This is the old living room. I have a thing for old lady style so this immediatly caught my attention. We have some nice white carpet, tan walls and a wonderful mirror that they decided to leave.
This is the original dining room. I loved the chandelier from the start and I still do! The sliding glass door goes to the huge porch.
This is the amazing kitchen. The appliances are original to the house except for the fridge. The stove/microwave are a one piece unit.
Here we have the dining nook in the kitchen. My mom is in love with the light, I am ok with it now.
This is the one bathroom we have. Its pretty large, having two sinks has worked wonderfully so far.
This is the original master bedroom; its gone Lucy and Ricky style on us. The blinds are an iridescent rainbow design with a pink ruffle up top. Those were the first things to come down.
This is the spare bedroom, which we are using as our office. Joe accidently broke the blinds in here, I was so upset....
And finally this is our huge porch. I am not changing a think with this space!
In the two weeks we have owned our home, we have made a lot of changes and I will post them once I can take some pictures that don't have a bunch of junk in them. I am not a fan of tan walls in the least bit so they are all painted. Lighting fixtures have been replaced, and applainces have left the house. Its a been a fun/long process, but we are getting closer and closer to not having to live out of boxes!
